All UK residents are entitled to coverage under this scheme regardless of nationality, however, those who are not EEA nationals will need to apply by post with supporting documents. The WHO has today raised the swineflu alert level from the level 5 set on the 29th of April to a level 6 pandemic as infection numbers and deaths continue to rise. The BBC is regularly updating their outbreak statistics Swine Flu: Country by Country.

The US Embassy in London is urging those with appointments at the embassy who are experiencing swineflu-like symptoms to reschedule their appointments.
