Battle of the Atlantic Anniversary Dinner- 30 May 2013

Date:

Thursday, 30 May, 2013 - 18:00 to 23:15
70th Anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic to be commemorated by The National Museum of the Royal Navy with a unique dinner on board HMS Victory on 30 May 2013. The National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth will be marking the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic by hosting a dinner and fundraising auction on board the First Sea Lord’s Flagship, HMS Victory, on Thursday 30 May 2013. Lasting from the beginning of the Second World War until the 23 May 1943, when German Commanders knew the cause was lost, the Battle of the Atlantic exemplifies perfectly the successful team work between our Royal Navy’s and the US Navy's Ships, Submarines and Aeroplanes that became the turning point of the Second World War. Guests will enjoy a champagne reception and the option of a tour of HMS Victory, a three course meal and have the opportunity to bid in an auction full of 'once in a lifetime' objects and experiences. Come and join The National Museum of The Royal Navy as we remember the end of this most important era in World War Two, and celebrate the ethos of team work that still exists between all branches of the Royal Navy today and the special relationship we share with our colleagues 'over the pond'. Tickets are priced at £200 per person. *SPECIAL OFFER- BUY 3 TICKETS AND GET THE 4TH FREE* For more information or tickets please contact Rosie Munns on 02392 727593 or rosie.munns@nmrn.org.uk
