Aimiloo's Nana's Meatloaf




This is my Nana's ever famous simple recipe. My friends and family love it, and you can add whatever you like - it's the perfect base.

Preparation time: 

1 hour


1 pound beef mince (lean ground beef, 455g)
1⁄2 cup milk
1 cup breadcrumbs (or rolled oats)
1 egg
1⁄2 onion (large)
1 italian herbs (to taste)
1 ketchup


Preheat oven to 180C Combine all ingredients in a bowl except the ketchup. Knead all ingredients with your hands for a good 3-4 min. until fully mixed. Form a log-like sculpture in a baking dish.

Cover log with foil and bake for 45 min. Uncover for last 10 min and brush ketchup over the top. Cooking time may vary-it was 180C (350F) in a fan for me.

You can add peppers and other things if you feel like it.
